With many club meetings lost dur to Covid restrictions across the spring, the title race became a question of who could travel to home meetings and win matches. ln the end, it was Mick Hammonds who visited four towns in the last fortnight to get the five wins which put him a point ahead of England international Colin Fletcher after the two had beaten each other 1-0 in their league matches. Bradbury beat Hammonds in the County Championship final, Fletcher won the Mercian Cup and Hammonds won the Staffordshire Cup. In the following season, we gained another five players and membership stood at 17 at the start of 2022, despite the passing of our founder Guy Smith in Clun.
